Panchakarma is the nourishing series of Ayurvedic treatments that restore mind, body, and spirit. Treatments last 4 hours per day, with two highly-trained therapists using herbalized oils custom-made each night. Panchakarma typically extends over seven days, but can be experienced over 28 days, or even in one. PK is at the heart of Ayurveda, and effects are often dramatic, transformative, and lasting. For bookings of 7 days or more, three daily meals at Surya are included, a simple breakfast and dinner in addition to our usual lunch.

A Panchakarma Wellness Retreat is unlike anything else you have experienced. It is a completely bespoke course of treatment designed to heal and rejuvenate you from the inside out. Each day, Martha, along with her team of highly skilled therapists, will choose Ayurvedic treatments to address core imbalances. These include treatments such as Udvartana (an invigorating and skin-smoothing scrub), a Pinda Swedana (a cooling treatment using medicated rice boluses), and Nasya (a brain-nourishing and tension-melting head and neck massage and steam). We usually recommend at least 7 days of treatment because each day addresses one of the 7 layers of tissues in Ayurveda, though as few as 3 days can create meaningful change.
